HOTEL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Full Job Description We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Hotel Maintenance Technician to assist with the day-to-day maintenance operations of our hotel properties in the Fairborn/Dayton area. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, flexible, able to troubleshoot common maintenance issues, and willing to learn. Hotel maintenance experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Respond to guest room maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner Perform basic repairs related to plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, furniture, doors, locks, TVs, and PTAC units Replace light bulbs, unclog drains, repair toilets, sinks, and faucets Assist with preventive maintenance throughout the hotel Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance storage and work areas Perform minor drywall repair, painting, and touch-ups Assist with carpet cleaning and upkeep of public areas Basic troubleshooting of HVAC systems, kitchen equipment, and ice machines Assist with pool maintenance and cleaning as needed Light exterior work including trash pickup and minor landscaping when required Coordinate with vendors and notify management of major repairs Complete maintenance tasks in a safe and efficient manner Help minimize out-of-order rooms and maintain overall guest satisfaction Be available for occasional emergency calls or on-call situations
Requirements:
Previous hotel, apartment, or general maintenance experience preferred Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and repair work Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Positive attitude and willingness to learn Flexible schedule including some weekends and holidays if needed Valid driver's license preferred Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Job Setting and Physical Demands:
This position requires working both indoors and outdoors throughout the hotel property, including guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, mechanical rooms, pool area, exterior grounds, and storage areas. The employee must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs and ladders, reach overhead, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and use hand and power tools safely. The job may require working in different weather conditions, responding to urgent maintenance issues, and completing tasks in a safe, clean, and professional manner while minimizing disruption to guests.

8 hour shift Day shift Weekend availability as needed On-call when required
