Maintenance Technician - $40/hr Job Description The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs highly automated production equipment in a machining department that uses Mitsubishi and Fanuc CNC machines. This role focuses on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving mechanical and electrical issues on plant machinery, including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, robots, pumps, and PLC-controlled systems. The technician uses drawings, schematics, and blueprints to identify faults, performs preventive maintenance, and supports continuous, reliable operation of a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on plant machinery in a highly automated machining environment. Work directly on Mitsubishi and Fanuc CNC machines, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Maintain and repair equipment that includes sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, robots, bearings, pumps, PLCs, servos, power supplies, relays, and related components. Perform PLC troubleshooting, primarily on Omron systems, to identify and resolve control-related faults. Use mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to systematically diagnose machinery faults. Conduct electrical troubleshooting on three-phase systems, typically at 208V and up to 480V, following appropriate safety procedures. Complete scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life. Perform welding and fabrication as needed to support equipment repair, modification, and improvement projects. Troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, valves, servo drives, relays, and other mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Check and test motors properly using appropriate tools and procedures to verify condition and performance. Collaborate with other maintenance technicians, production staff, and engineering to resolve equipment issues and support production goals. Document maintenance work, repairs, and findings accurately to support continuous improvement and traceability. Participate in shift change instructions before and after the shift to communicate equipment status, issues, and priorities. Support occasional overtime, including weekend work on a rotating basis, to meet production and maintenance needs. Essential Skills At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or plant environment. Hands-on experience working with hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair. Hands-on experience working with pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with emphasis on electrical troubleshooting preferred. Experience troubleshooting and repairing pumps, motors, valves, servo drives, and relays. Ability to perform basic electrical troubleshooting on three-phase systems up to 480V, with most work at 208V. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings. Experience with PLC troubleshooting, preferably with Omron PLCs. Proficiency in mechanical maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting on production machinery. Experience with three-phase power systems and 480V electrical equipment. Ability to work safely around motors, pumps, and other rotating or energized equipment. Capability to perform preventive maintenance tasks consistently and accurately. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Findlay, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $38.00/hr.
