Maintenance Technician/Handyman

Position Overview:

Stow Kent Animal Hospital is seeking a reliable, Maintenance Tech/Handyman to support the upkeep and functionality of our three local veterinary clinic locations. This role is ideal for someone who is self-sufficient, resourceful, and experienced in a wide range of maintenance tasks. The right candidate will take pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for our staff, clients, and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance and repairs across all three clinic locations Assist with minor electrical troubleshooting and advising Handle basic plumbing repairs and maintenance Complete painting projects and facility touch-ups as needed Perform routine building and grounds maintenance tasks Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner Identify potential issues and proactively recommend solutions Coordinate larger repairs or specialized services when needed

Qualifications:

Proven experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or related field Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general repair practices Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Reliable transportation to travel between locations Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical tasks as required

Tools & Equipment:

Candidate is expected to provide their own tools and equipment (limited tools provided on-site)

Schedule & Flexibility:

Flexible scheduling available, full-time or part-time, a minimum of 25-30 hours per week is preferred Work will be performed across our three local clinic locations as needed
