• 29/hr $3,000 sign on bonus .

$1,000 paid out at 30 days, $1,000 paid out at 90 days & $1,000 paid out at 180 days. Valtir is hiring a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician team member to support our Lima, OH manufacturing facility. The role requires a knowledgeable technician to successfully support the plant associates in implementing and maintaining the day-by-day tasks dedicated to deploy the safety, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement, initiatives. What you'll do: Troubleshoot and perform mechanical/electrical repairs on various types of equipment including cranes, Forklifts, Presses, mills, etc.. Determine root cause of equipment problems and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime Use mobile equipment including, scissors lift, boom lift, forklift, crane and other to perform job tasks Perform preventive maintenance on all tools, machinery and equipment Complete individual work orders in a thorough and timely manner Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Working Environment:

Conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, and noisy. The job is within a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the plant. Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing and steel-toed shoes. Attendance and showing up to work on time are important to the success of the plant. Dependable job attendance is expected. What you'll need: Sophisticated knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics with the ability to use this knowledge to install, maintain, and repair plant equipment Experience with repairs on Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Mechanical equipment Excellent troubleshooting skills Ability to operate various electric, pneumatic, and other hand tools Positive Can Do attitude, able to weather setbacks and cultural resistance. Must be able to work individually and as part of a team. Reliable and predictable attendance
