Custodial Floor Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodial Floor Technician to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting floors across various areas of the facility. Conduct specialized floor care tasks such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing to maintain optimal floor appearance and durability. Execute carpet cleaning procedures utilizing appropriate equipment and solutions to remove stains and maintain carpet longevity. Maintain high standards of cleanliness in restrooms, common areas, and workspaces by adhering to established sanitation protocols. Operate janitorial equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring proper maintenance and storage of tools and supplies. Follow environmental services guidelines to promote sustainable cleaning practices that minimize waste and chemical use. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel. Qualifications Proven experience in custodial services or environmental cleaning within commercial or institutional settings. Demonstrated expertise in floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and carpet cleaning. Knowledge of janitorial equipment operation and maintenance procedures. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough cleaning tasks efficiently. Familiarity with safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment use. Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively. Previous experience in environmental services or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
