3rd Shift Maintenance Technician $29
  • $34/hr
Marion, Ohio Shift:
8pm
  • 6am Monday
  • Thursday $2 Shift differential for off-shift!
Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of tools, fitting and assembling parts to fabricate, repair, and maintain corrugated packaging machinery. You will perform preventative maintenance on machines and must have basic electrical knowledge, advanced mechanical skills, and an understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Responsibilities Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine the need for adjustment or repair. Study blueprints, sketches, machine parts, or specifications to determine the type and dimensions of metal stock required. Move existing equipment and set up new equipment as needed. Dismantle machines or equipment to examine parts for defects or to remove defective parts. Replace defective parts with new ones or repair/reproduce parts from various kinds of metal stock. Assemble and test operate machines to verify correction of malfunctions. Maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment. Monitor and audit equipment performance, perform calibrations, and conduct preventative maintenance. Install plumbing and fittings. Install electrical conduit and conductors in accordance with local, state, and federal codes. Install pneumatic and hydraulic hoses and fittings. Lift heavy objects up to 70 lbs. Obtain a forklift license and other necessary certifications. Comply with company policies, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Essential Skills Advanced mechanical skills with a focus on preventative and reactive maintenance. Basic electrical knowledge, including controls, troubleshooting, and schematics. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints. Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and repairs. Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting, including 3-phase systems. PLC troubleshooting skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED, plus one to three years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Current Arc Flash certification or ability to obtain training for certification. Knowledge in HVAC, welding, PLC control, and conveyor systems is a plus. Why Work Here? The noise level is usually moderately loud, requiring hearing protection, and safety glasses are mandatory in the plant. EH Rated Safety Shoes/Safety Boots (must be leather) are also required. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00
