About the Role As a Field Service Door Technician, you will serve as a critical technical expert responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of specialized door systems and hardware. You will play a vital role in ensuring operational security and functionality for our clients by delivering high-quality craftsmanship and precise technical troubleshooting. Responsibilities Execute the full lifecycle of door systems, including tear-outs, new installations, and complex repairs at client sites. Ensure seamless functionality by pre-installing hardware and conducting rigorous quality testing prior to site delivery. Interpret complex blueprints, templates, and technical specifications to guarantee installation accuracy. Maintain high standards of site organization, managing tools, materials, and project documentation efficiently. Collaborate effectively with team members to solve on-site challenges and meet project deadlines. Demonstrate adaptability by managing shifting priorities and varied technical environments. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in the service and installation of commercial and residential door systems. Proficiency in commercial and residential electrical systems related to door hardware. Capability to perform welding setups for production and field repairs. Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials up to 75 lbs. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to detail-oriented work. Preferred Skills Advanced knowledge of door frame and hardware integration. Experience with specialized field service tools and equipment. Strong interpersonal skills for effective client-facing interactions.
