Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician performs a wide range of electrical and mechanical maintenance activities in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role focuses approximately 60% on electrical tasks and 40% on mechanical work, including troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment, automated systems, and facility infrastructure. Responsibilities Perform both electrical (approximately 60%) and mechanical (approximately 40%) maintenance on industrial equipment and systems. Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems using wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics. Install, maintain, and repair electrical components such as conduit, outlets, and related hardware, including 480V, 3-phase systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical motor controls and circuits. Diagnose and repair hydraulic circuits and related components. Apply basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude to maintain and repair machinery and equipment. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical drive systems including gears, sprockets, chains, belts, bearings, and rollers. Use general fabrication skills such as welding, torch cutting, machining, piping, and threading to support equipment repair and modification. Perform repairs, modifications, and preventive maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and systems to minimize downtime and improve reliability. Assist in advanced levels of troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair across the plant as needed. Assist in maintaining accurate preventive maintenance records and documentation. Provide support in the daily maintenance and operation of automated equipment and robotics. Perform work in accordance with dispatched service requests or daily/weekly work schedules. Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively for machine repair and maintenance. Troubleshoot and service equipment such as presses, conveyors, and injection molding machines. Support continuous improvement of maintenance processes and equipment reliability through effective troubleshooting and repair. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oregon, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $39.87 - $39.87/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
