Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Maintenance Technician, where your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, ensuring safety standards are met, and supporting the overall functionality of our facilities. Your proactive approach and technical knowledge will directly contribute to creating a safe, reliable, and productive workspace for all team members. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and building infrastructure using schematics and technical manuals. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues utilizing tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control automated systems efficiently. Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to maintain equipment integrity. Support facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting, carpentry, and general repairs to uphold safety and aesthetic standards. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documents to accurately diagnose issues. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks. Supervise or assist with small teams during maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and tasks are completed on time. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for repairs or maintenance support. Lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment while managing multiple priorities effectively. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or residential settings. Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting control systems with PLCs and wiring schematics. Skilled in welding techniques with the ability to fabricate or repair metal components. Mechanical knowledge covering HVAC systems, pumps, motors, and general machinery repair. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration. Experience working with CMMS software for work order management is preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform residential painting or similar finishing tasks is a plus.
