Full Job Description Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician position utilizes analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance techniques on complex manufacturing equipment; electrical/electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic or mechanical systems to maintain optimum equipment operation and reliability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Due to the nature of this position onsite regular attendance is required.
• Performs exterior building/grounds cleaning tasks i.e. window washing, pick up litter/trash on entire property, weed control on property, maintain smoking receptacles, and sidewalk snow removal and salting when necessary. Performs special maintenance/engineering projects.
• Performs scheduled maintenance on building and grounds as required (replacing light bulbs/cleaning lenses, replacing ceiling tiles, furnace filters, A/C condenser cleaning, gutter repair/cleaning etc).
• Operates cardboard baler/compactor, forklift and other material handling equipment as required.
• Utilizes analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting and repair techniques on complex manufacturing equipment; electrical/electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic or mechanical systems to maintain optimum equipment operation and reliability.
• Interprets and follows work orders, schematics, drawings, blueprints, equipment manuals, operating procedures and process documentation.
• Determines and maintains inventory levels of critical machine parts.
• Works closely with and communicates appropriately with production associates, supervision, engineering, and occasionally interacts with outside vendors.
• Performs scheduled preventative maintenance and service covering a wide variety of equipment to maintain optimum equipment operation and reliability.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs on a wide variety of equipment, machines, facilities as needed.
• Prepares and maintains required documentation for equipment, related parts, down time reports, etc. and as requested or required.
• Fills in for Facilities specialist personnel absences by performing typical interior building cleaning tasks in all areas (i.e. dusting and polishing furniture, equipment, and fixtures; washing windows, counters, walls, and ceilings; sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors; cleaning, vacuuming furniture and carpeting; cleaning and re-supplying restrooms and lunchrooms as needed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Pay:

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
