Industrial Maintenance Technician

About the Role General Aluminum Manufacturing Co. is hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for our day shift(07:00 am - 07:00pm) The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations. This role performs routine and preventive maintenance on both production and facility equipment, supporting manufacturing operations by minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment reliability in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Diagnosing equipment failures and determining root causes Maintain and repair conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, and production machinery Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals Perform equipment installations, upgrades, and changeovers Respond to breakdowns and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime Use PLEX to document work orders, repairs, and maintenance activities Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), OSHA, and safety procedures Assist with continuous improvement and reliability initiatives Coordinate with production and engineering teams as needed3 Perform facility maintenance as needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED 2+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Basic electrical knowledge (motors, sensors, control circuits) Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems Basic robotic knowledge (FANUC) Ability to work independently and in a team environment Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or on-call as required

Preferred:

Technical degree, trade school, or apprenticeship PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) Robotic experience (FANUC) Welding and fabrication skills Experience with VFDs and motor controls CMMS experience OSHA or safety certifications Skills & Competencies Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Attention to detail and safety awareness Effective communication skills Time management and prioritization Dependable and self-motivated Physical & Work Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
