Job Description

Position Overview New Day My Way, LLC is seeking a passionate and reliable Aquatic Specialist / Pool Manager to lead and support aquatic programming within our adult day program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role is ideal for someone who values person-centered support , safety, and inclusive recreation, and who wants to make a meaningful impact through adaptive aquatic activities. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily pool operations , ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming aquatic environment Plan and facilitate adaptive aquatic activities aligned with individual service goals Provide direct supervision and support to individuals during swim sessions Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and DODD regulations related to aquatic programming Monitor water quality, conduct safety checks, and coordinate routine pool maintenance Train and guide staff on pool safety procedures and participant support needs Collaborate with the Day Program Manager and interdisciplinary team Complete required documentation, incident reports, and activity notes as needed Qualifications Current Lifeguard Certification (required) CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (required) Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or Aquatic Therapy experience (preferred) Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred Strong situational awareness, communication, and teamwork skills Ability to safely assist participants in and out of the pool Must pass all background checks and meet state requirements What We Offer A supportive, mission-driven team environment Paid training and orientation Opportunities to make a direct, positive impact every day Consistent weekday schedule Retirement Plan Join Our Team If you believe in inclusion, creativity, and empowering people to live their way , we would love to hear from you.
