This role is vital to equipment reliability and efficient shop operations through preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and material-handling support.
Key responsibilities include:
Safety & Compliance Follows all health and safety requirements— Safety First is our priority Use safe work practices while performing maintenance to protect yourself and others Consistently follow lockout/tagout procedures, wear required PPE , and comply with applicable safety standards Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area Communicate clearly with leadership about equipment conditions, production needs, and safety concerns Safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds, frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching and ability to work in an industrial environment as needed Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Support Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on horizontal and vertical CNC machining centers Complete routine lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of machines Monitor, clean, and replace coolant and coolant tanks, as required Empty chip hoppers and manage chip disposal in accordance with shop procedures Identify early signs of mechanical or operational issues and share findings with supervision Repairs & Facility Maintenance Perform or assist with repairs, installations, modifications, and upgrades to production equipment Support general facility maintenance as needed (lighting, air lines, basic repairs, etc.) Coordinate with outside service providers when needed Material Handling & Logistics Support Support production by moving and storing raw material and finished goods efficiently Daily fork truck operations to support production and maintenance activities Follow proper storage practices to maintain safety, organization, and material integrity

Requirements:
Your Qualifications and Skills Industrial maintenance experience—especially supporting horizontal and vertical CNC machining centers —is preferred Strong knowledge of basic mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance Comfortable working independently on preventive maintenance tasks and basic troubleshooting Ability to safely operate a fork truck (experience preferred, training and certification available) Working knowledge of OSHA/shop safety practices, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements Ability to read basic maintenance documentation and follow procedures Effective communications skills both written and verbal
