Position Summary The Maintenance Engineer plays an important role in protecting the condition, safety, and overall presentation of the hotel. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, responding to guest maintenance requests, and ensuring building systems operate efficiently while supporting Hilton brand standards. We are looking for someone with experience maintaining equipment such as PTAC units, pool systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on PTAC units, HVAC systems, and thermostats Maintain and inspect life safety equipment, including fire panels, alarms, extinguishers, and emergency lighting Oversee pool maintenance, including chemical testing and balancing Complete routine inspections of guest rooms and public areas Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, and minor mechanical issues Assist with coordinating outside vendors when needed Maintain organized maintenance logs and records Support property improvement projects as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum one year of maintenance experience preferred Hotel maintenance experience is a plus Experience with PTAC units and pool systems preferred Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends Benefits Competitive hourly pay Hilton team member travel discounts Paid training Supportive team environment Opportunities for career growth within Hilton-branded hotels Schedule Part-time hours based on hotel needs Weekend availability required Work Location Hampton by Hilton Youngstown Boardman 7395 Tiffany South Poland, OH 44514 Hampton by Hilton is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace for all team members.
