Tier 3 Maintenance Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tier 3 Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this critical role, you will lead complex troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance activities across manufacturing and facility systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal equipment performance, safety, and operational efficiency. Tier 3 is the senior tier. These technicians handle advanced troubleshooting in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, HVAC, and automation systems. Responsibilities Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, and mechanical components. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to plan and execute maintenance tasks efficiently. Lead troubleshooting efforts involving electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and schematics to identify root causes of equipment failures. Conduct welding repairs and mechanical adjustments to maintain machinery integrity and safety standards. Oversee facilities maintenance activities such as residential painting, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general building upkeep. Supervise junior technicians and coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime while ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and work orders using CMMS tools. Demonstrate leadership in emergency situations by responding swiftly to equipment failures or safety incidents. Qualifications Proven experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, and schematics in a manufacturing or facilities environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on welding skills and familiarity with residential painting techniques is preferred. Electrical experience including troubleshooting with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals accurately. Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation. Prior supervisory or supervising experience demonstrating leadership capabilities in maintenance teams. Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and record keeping is highly desirable. Experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing settings or similar industries is a plus. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to collaborate across departments for seamless operations.
