Responsible for building maintenance, preventive maintenance and light repair for the Enid Campus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include Perform routine maintenance tasks submitted through the workorder system. Perform all required routine preventive maintenance inspection and repairs to mechanical and HVAC systems. Perform maintenance on fleet/college vehicles as assigned. Advise supervisor of needed maintenance tools, supplies and equipment and whether a repair requires a separate work order to a Maintenance Technician or the use of a licensed tradesperson. Perform daily inspections of all mechanical rooms as part of the annual preventive maintenance inspection. Advise supervisor of any concern regarding the condition or maintenance of equipment. Report any program compliance violations. Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with Maintenance Manager as necessary. Responsible for required record keeping within Maintenance Direct. Complete and submit all inspection forms and checklists within established timeframes. Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
To perform the role of a preventive maintenance technician successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Consistent attendance and punctuality is a job requirement. Ability to work independently, organize workload and set priorities. Ability to properly utilize and maintain tools and maintenance equipment. Ability to work as a member of a team. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Valid Oklahoma Driver's License required to operate company vehicles. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to work with computers and software. Ability to use extendable boom forklift, forklift (sit down, stand-up, or motorized pallet jacks), high reach (aerial lift), backhoe/frontend loader, and tractor required.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFACTIONS
High School degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from a certified college. Bachelor's degree or an associate's degree or diploma in mechanical engineering or any other related field of study, a valid journeyman license and or 2 - 3 years of experience of working as a preventive maintenance technician, preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
: The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of the preventive maintenance technician job. While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to lift greater than 25 pounds or more; will require repetitive reaching, pushing/pulling, bending, twisting; will require working at heights greater than 4 feet, might require welding, cutting, brazing, and working with an open flame.
