Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
This position requires a working knowledge of maintenance needs for a multi-unit building including electrical, plumbing, and AC experience. Applicant must be able to communicate clearly and follow verbal and written instructions. Pay is commensurate with years of experience.
SHIFT AVAILABILITY
Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. On-call as needed
POSITION DUTIES
Ability to make minor repairs as needed. Ability to do painting and simple carpentry repairs. Ability to sweep and/or shovel walks in wintery weather conditions for employee and resident safety. Ability to care for tools and keep maintenance closets clean and orderly. Ability to communicate to Supervisor about needed repairs. Ability to perform tasks with due consideration for facility residents, visitors and staff in area. Ability to keep work area clean and orderly. Ability to perform routine repetitive tasks despite frequent interruptions. Ability to work and cooperate well with other employees. Ability to work under close supervision. Ability to safely operate various machinery and equipment. Ability to safely use required hand tools. Ability to perform other related duties as directed by Supervisor. Ability to lift 50 pounds
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of high school diploma Must be be to work flexible hours Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately.
PHYSICAL WORKING REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift/push up to 50 pounds Ability to lift, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull loads required Must be able to walk approximately four miles daily Apply now
