Apartment Maintenance Technician Location :
Stillwater, OK Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the physical upkeep, repair, and maintenance of a multifamily apartment community. This role involves performing routine and emergency maintenance, preparing apartments for new residents, and working closely with the onsite management team to deliver a high-quality living experience. Key Responsibilities Complete work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner. Perform general maintenance including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair. Prepare vacant units for move-in by cleaning, repairing, and ensuring all items are in good working order. Maintain common areas and amenities, including lighting, doors, locks, and safety equipment. Assist with preventive maintenance programs for building systems and equipment. Support groundskeeping and seasonal property needs, such as snow/ice removal or pool maintenance when required. Maintain accurate records of work completed and communicate effectively with residents and management. Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies. Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and property policies. Qualifications Previous maintenance or building repair experience required; apartment/community maintenance preferred. Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair. HVAC certification and experience preferred (EPA Universal or Type II/III). Ability to safely operate tools and maintenance equipment. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks daily. Strong customer service and communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour (based on experience and certifications). Full-time position with regular weekday hours; participation in an on-call rotation required.
