Job Description
Hotel Elliott is a historic and charming property in downtown Astoria, offering guests a warm, elegant stay. We take pride in our clean facilities, comfortable rooms, and welcoming atmosphere—and we're looking for a Maintenance Technician to help uphold that standard. Job Summary We're seeking a reliable, hardworking Full-Time Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and appearance of our hotel. This role involves day-to-day maintenance tasks, preventative inspections, and seasonal safety work. If you're a hands-on problem solver who enjoys variety and making things work, you'll thrive in this role. Responsibilities Complete daily maintenance and janitorial checklists Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and fire extinguishers Maintain pool and spa cleanliness and function Stock towels and manage laundry loads Monitor and maintain patio furniture, public areas, and parking lot Empty trash bins and manage janitorial supply inventory Coordinate with vendors and outside contractors Address seasonal needs (e.g., de-icing sidewalks, pest control) Attend weekly meetings and support special events Follow all policies and safety procedures Qualifications 1+ year of janitorial or maintenance experience Strong multitasking and time-management skills Professional appearance and clear communication Ability to work independently and with a team Comfortable using computers/software Valid driver's license required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties (walking, bending, etc.) Why Join Us Be part of a supportive, professional team that values quality and collaboration Work at a historic, well-loved hotel on Oregon's picturesque coast Enjoy a role that blends hands-on work with leadership and planning to join Hotel Elliott and keep our guest experience running smoothly from behind the scenes. •We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will be considered for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, age, disability, marital or veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status.
