Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

Tillamook Country Smoker, a leader in the food production industry, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Food Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team, Swing Shift. This role is essential in ensuring that all production and packaging equipment operates efficiently and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance on food processing and packaging equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime. Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and repairs. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and workplace safety regulations (e.g., GMP, HACCP, OSHA). Work closely with production supervisors and other departments to ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2+ years' experience in maintenance within a food manufacturing or processing environment. Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with PLCs, conveyors, motors, pumps, and other food-grade equipment. Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and sanitation standards. Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
