Job Description
We are a growing landscaping and lawn care company looking for a dependable, hardworking individual who takes pride in their work and wants to grow with the company long-term. This position will begin by working directly alongside the owner, learning our systems, standards, equipment, and customer expectations. The goal is to develop into a trusted team member who can independently manage maintenance routes, operate company equipment, and eventually drive a company truck and trailer. This is physically demanding outdoor work. We are looking for someone who enjoys working outside, takes initiative, pays attention to details, and genuinely cares about maintaining properties for our customers.
Responsibilities Landscape Maintenance:
Remove debris from properties including sticks, pine cones, leaves, etc. Edge lawns along sidewalks, driveways, curbs, flower beds, and other hardscape features Weed-eat/line trim lawn perimeters and areas that are unable to be mowed Mow lawns safely and efficiently Blow debris from driveways, sidewalks, patios, porches, curbs, and other hardscape surfaces Perform weed removal Inspect properties and ensure all work is completed to company standards before leaving Property Clean-Ups & Landscape Projects:
Perform seasonal and overgrown property clean-ups Use hand tools including shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, debris buckets, and other landscaping equipment Trim shrubs, hedges, and bushes using hedge trimmers Prune trees; use pruning tools Load, unload, and haul landscape materials and debris Assist with various landscape improvement and maintenance projects as needed Planting and plant removal - trees, shrubs, etc. Monitor irrigation systems, replace and/or repair broken irrigation parts, and make adjustments necessary to keeping the landscape and lawn healthy Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds frequently throughout the workday Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to follow directions while also working independently Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work Professional appearance, behavior, and communication when interacting with customers Ability to communicate respectfully and professionally with customers and coworkers Commitment to doing the job correctly, even when nobody is watching Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the company Preferred Qualifications:
Previous landscaping, lawn care, construction, grounds maintenance, or outdoor labor experience Experience operating commercial lawn and landscape equipment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Growth Opportunity:
