Construction / Pavement Preservation About the Role C.R. Contracting is seeking a Pavement Maintenance Technician to join our growing field operations team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a fast- paced outdoor environment, and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. As part of our pavement preservation crews, you will assist with a variety of maintenance and construction activities on parking lots, roadways, and airport surfaces throughout the Western United States. This position offers opportunities for travel, skill development, and long-term career growth within a collaborative and safety-focused team environment. What You'll Do Perform pavement crack sealing using hot-applied sealants Assist with sealcoating, fog seals, slurry applications, and other pavement preservation work Install pavement markings, striping, and traffic control devices Operate and assist in maintaining pavement maintenance equipment and vehicles Support project setup, traffic control, loading/unloading, and site cleanup activities Follow project specifications, safety procedures, and company quality standards Complete daily project documentation and production tracking as required Work closely with crew members and field leadership to complete projects efficiently and safely Travel regularly to project locations throughout the Western United States What We're Looking For Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability and willingness to travel for project work Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds Strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team Good communication and problem-solving skills Construction or pavement maintenance experience preferred Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: Asphalt crack sealing Pavement striping and marking Sealcoating or slurry seal operations Traffic control setup Asphalt or concrete construction Operation of construction or pavement maintenance equipment Why Join Us Competitive compensation based on experience and project assignment Prevailing wage project opportunities Company-provided transportation to project sites Opportunity to travel throughout the Western United States Hands-on experience with specialized pavement maintenance equipment and operations Collaborative team environment focused on safety, quality, and professional growth Opportunity for long-term career development within a growing company Additional Information This position may require overnight travel, weekend work, night work, and extended shifts depending on project schedules and operational needs.
