Job Description

ConMet's Clackamas, OR aluminum die cast manufacturing facility is looking for a Maintenance Technician. Quick drive from Oregon City, Clackamas, Estacada, Sandy, or Milwaukie. Right off I-205.
Summary:
Works in Maintenance Department and performs repairs and maintenance of all plant machinery and facilities to include: Die Cast Machines, hydraulic systems, minor electrical work within LME guidelines, furnaces, walkways, platforms, plumbing (air, gas, water, and lube), evaporators, sumps, storm water containment systems and drains, roof fans, cooling fans and storage areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs installation, troubleshooting and repairs of plant machinery. Perform routine inspections and minor repairs of all material handling equipment. Performs Die cast foundry lubrication and inspections per PM program requirements. Perform repair and new installations and other general improvement projects. Perform Plant crane inspections per PM program requirements. Assemble, install and program mechanical, electro-mechanical and automated machinery and systems such as production machinery / tools, storage racks and robots. Light fabrication and repairs to platforms, furnace launder supports, catwalks, etc. Perform plant rigging and installation of equipment. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities as specified. Maintain storage and work areas in a clean and orderly manner. Small motor, pump and misc. equipment repair.
