Maintenance Technician

Mount Angel Towers is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team and assist in the day-to-day operations. The goal of the Maintenance Technician is to take care of the buildings, ensure a safe environment for residents and guests, and keep all mechanical equipment functioning properly, including routine and preventative maintenance. Mount Angel Towers is a Senior Living Community that has been owned and operated by a single family for over 50 years. Our staff of caring professionals has a strong sense of teamwork and community. Ideal candidates will have the below skills/abilities: Perform routine repairs and maintenance within apartments. Remodel apartments including some plumbing, drywall, painting, hanging cabinets, and replacing flooring. Determine materials, equipment and supplies needed to complete apartment remodels and order those supplies so they arrive timely for the job. Manage vendors that come to the building to perform work within the building including checking the quality of work performed. Oversee landscaping team to keep the grounds well maintained. Communicate any issues, problem concerns and updates regularly to key staff within the community. Organize and prioritize your work so that projects are done timely. Be on call and able to respond in extreme weather (on call weekend rotation).

Preferred experience:

Apartment turns (drywall, patching, cabinet repair, etc.) HVAC equipment OSHA knowledge and ability to be certified Kitchen equipment Laundry equipment

Plumbing Electrical Qualifications:

Minimum 2 year Maintenance Technician experience. Have a current ODL and reliable transportation to be on call. Must pass the Oregon Division of Human Services Criminal Background Check and pre-employment drug screen. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
