Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team and support a growing portfolio of short-term rentals. This is a seasonal position designed to provide consistent, high-quality maintenance across all properties—ensuring they are well-maintained, guest-ready, and proactively cared for. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday, values independence and accountability, has strong communication skills and is looking to build a long-term career in property care. General Maintenance Perform minor repairs ( non-CCB licensed work only ) Troubleshoot and address basic appliance issues Handle basic door, window, and light fixture adjustments/replacements Basic plumbing (e.g., leaks, clogs) and light electrical fixes (e.g., outlets, switches) Exterior Upkeep & Light Landscaping Leaf blowing and debris removal Gutter clearing (where safely accessible) Exterior Window Washing/Pressure Washing Small yard basic landscaping Trash Management Handle trash removal between guest stays Coordinate bulk trash or dump runs as needed Routine Maintenance Inspections Perform proactive inspections of appliances, furniture, and key systems Flag early signs of wear, damage, or safety concerns Help maintain the home's condition and presentation standards On-Call Responsibilities Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for urgent maintenance needs Respond to issues such as guest lockouts, urgent leaks, or power loss Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field. 3+ years experience in maintenance, facilities, or property care preferred Ability to independently manage time, tasks, and priorities Basic tool set and understanding of safe maintenance practices Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb stairs/ladders, and work in various weather conditions Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required (a truck is a must) Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills in English. Comfortable learning and using mobile apps, and task management systems. The ability to address hot tub issues as needed is a plus. A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
