About the role We are looking for a talented Maintenance Technician to join our team! This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the property remains in excellent condition and provides a safe, comfortable living environment for residents. This position involves performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing emergency repairs, and adhering to company standards and policies. The technician will be responsible for maintaining various systems and structures within the property, ensuring everything operates smoothly and efficiently. What you'll do Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and maintain safety/cleanliness standards in accordance with applicable local, state and federal laws and company standards. Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks. Maintain and repair appliances, electrical, plumbing, and other systems. Perform general carpentry tasks, including cabinets, flooring, finish carpentry, door/lock repair, etc. Ensure the upkeep of exterior grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot maintenance. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests when on call Use Work Order Management system to track and complete maintenance tasks, ensuring work orders are completed in a timely manner and to the resident's satisfaction. Interact with residents, vendors, and on-site staff in a courteous and professional manner. Maintain on-call availability to respond to urgent maintenance needs as they arise Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in multi-family properties. Proficient in using maintenance tools and equipment. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
Note:
This position requires frequent travel between properties. Reliable transportation is required.
