Shopping Center Maintenance Technician

JOB TITLE

Shopping Center Maintenance If you show up, work hard, and don't need babysitting — this job is yours. Primarily Weekends plus three days a week. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (approx. 5 hr/day): Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule. Removal of litter & debris from landscaped areas, parking lot, walkways, and other public facilities. Light landscaping, pruning, watering system, mowing, blowing. High dusting of light fixtures. Cleaning, disinfecting, and servicing of employee office restroom as needed. Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.

As Needed or quarterly projects:

Pressure wash walkways Performing manual tasks associated with general landscaping projects, including weeding, spraying, weed trimmer General maintenance and repair projects

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to work independently and efficiently complete multiple tasks. Work effectively and cordially with a variety of people & situations, both pleasant and unpleasant. Must carry a self-supplied cell phone for communication with tenants and Property Manager. Ability to relate to staff and public in a courteous manner. Ability to maintain focus while working individually.

Physical Requirements:

Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches. Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform a full 5-hour shift. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to bend over, stretch, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, climb stairs and/or ladders, reach, twist and squat. Ability to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
