Maintenance Technician and Guest Service Liaison (PM Shift)

About the Role Cascadia Getaways is seeking a dependable, experienced, and guest-focused Maintenance Technician & Guest Service Liaison to support evening and weekend operations at Sand & Sea in Seaside, Oregon. This is a maintenance-first role designed for someone comfortable working independently as the primary on-duty handyman during busy weekend operations. The ideal candidate can confidently troubleshoot guest-facing maintenance concerns, respond calmly during emergencies, and provide elevated hospitality while supporting guests in occupied units. This role also assists with front desk coverage and communication during operational emergencies. ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Facilities Support Perform light maintenance and troubleshooting across Sand & Sea units and common areas Address guest-reported issues including: TVs and remotes Thermostats and heating systems WiFi/router troubleshooting Lock and access issues Minor appliance concerns Complete preventative maintenance tasks and identify issues before they impact guest stays Assist with vendor access and coordination when needed Document maintenance findings and updates using company systems Pool & Spa Maintenance Perform routine pool and spa chemical maintenance Monitor and maintain proper chemical levels and safety standards Attend Certified Pool Operator (CPO) training provided by Cascadia Getaways Guest Services & Front Desk Support Assist guests professionally and promptly with in-unit concerns Support front desk operations during busy periods or staffing gaps Deliver elevated hospitality while resolving guest concerns calmly and efficiently Coordinate with Guest Services and Operations teams regarding escalations Emergency Response Respond to property and guest emergencies during PM and weekend coverage Assist with urgent situations involving guest safety, flooding, unit issues, utility concerns, or operational disruptions Communicate with homeowners during unit emergencies when necessary Follow Sand & Sea and Cascadia emergency response protocols Qualifications Previous maintenance, handyman, facilities, or pool maintenance experience preferred Ability to work independently and confidently handle weekend coverage Comfortable interacting directly with guests inside occupied units Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Professional communication and hospitality mindset Ability to lift 50+ lbs and remain active throughout long shifts Reliable transportation required Mileage reimbursement provided for approved work-related travel Ideal Candidate Calm under pressure Self-directed and reliable Comfortable making judgment calls independently Guest-focused with strong people skills Handy, resourceful, and solutions-oriented Team player willing to support multiple departments when needed About Cascadia Getaways Cascadia Getaways is a locally owned Oregon vacation rental management company focused on elevated hospitality, proactive property care, and exceptional guest experiences.
