In-Person $18.00 - $18.00 per Hour 1 Years Experience High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description This role involves troubleshooting and repairing a variety of maintenance issues within residential units and common areas, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances, painting, and drywall. Work may be performed independently or as part of a team while supporting a safe, compliant, and customer-focused environment aligned with fair housing and equal employment standards.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of maintenance or related experience required HVAC certification preferred but not required Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to and troubleshoot resident service requests, prioritizing and completing work orders in a timely manner Prepare vacant units for new residents, ensuring they meet company standards and inspection checklists Maintain property grounds, including seasonal duties such as snow removal and pool maintenance Conduct regular property walk-throughs to identify and resolve maintenance issues Assist with property inspections and ensure readiness Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs or projects Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance needs as required Perform additional duties as assigned by the
Maintenance Manager or Property Manager Skills & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and drywall Ability to troubleshoot and repair appliances, fixtures, and building systems Experience with hand and power tools, cabinetry, shelving installation, and basic electrical repairs (e.g., switches, lighting) Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to follow company policies and procedures, including inventory tracking and key control Leadership qualities with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with residents
Working Conditions:
This position is primarily performed on-site at the property and may involve moderate to varying noise levels depending on assignments. The role requires frequent walking, standing, bending, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. The ability to lift up to 100 lbs. may be required. Exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and potential electrical hazards is possible, making a strong focus on safety essential.
