Maintenance Technician / Porter

Orbach Affordable Management is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our OAHS Bethlehem LLC team in Bethlehem, PA. This role supports a 127-unit affordable housing community that combines HUD and LIHTC programs. We're looking for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This hands-on role is ideal for a team player who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. You will perform general custodial, janitorial, and perform basic maintenance tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

Complete daily work orders efficiently. Maintain a team-oriented, positive attitude. Perform light electrical duties, such as changing lightbulbs and thermostats. Replace filters, faucets, sinks, and plumbing components in apartments. In the event of Snow conditions - Operate snow removal equipment, including snow blowers and shovels. Clean grounds, laundry rooms, and common areas on a daily basis. Assist with preparing units for new residents (make-ready tasks). Perform other duties as assigned to support the maintenance team and property. This position is fulltime 8:00am- 4:30pm

Qualifications:

Hands-on experience in building and apartment maintenance required. Experience in construction or carpentry in a professional setting is a plus. Strong background in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. Must own basic hand tools and be prepared for inclement weather conditions. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Professional communication skills when interacting with residents and team members. Experience operating and maintaining lawn care and snow removal equipment.
