Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for the position of Part Time Maintenance/Janitorial Technician. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cleaning and maintenance, with a focus on residential settings. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, window cleaning, and sanitizing surfaces. Conduct floor care activities such as scrubbing, stripping, and waxing as needed. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Assist with custodial duties including waste disposal and recycling management. Support facilities' preventive maintenance tasks as required to ensure operational efficiency. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and perform minor repairs when necessary. Maintain grounds including mowing, trimming, snow removal of sidewalks Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after hour emergencies Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the facility. Qualifications Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning methods is a plus. Experience in floor care techniques including buffing and waxing and carpet shampooing is highly desirable. Knowledge of residential painting or porter experience can be beneficial. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
