Job Description

The Production Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains production line equipment, troubleshoots equipment failures, and performs routine and emergency mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and electrical maintenance. In addition, he or she helps install new equipment and fabricates new equipment or supplemental pieces when needed. The ideal candidate has 12-36 months of experience in mechanical systems maintenance for a high-speed production line. Candidates must have maintenance experience with high-speed packaging equipment. Knowledge and advanced skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, bearing, chains and belting, conveying systems, valves, basic blueprint reading, and mechanical troubleshooting. We are looking for a team player who can work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, is physically able to perform the duties of the job (move heavy equipment/machinery, climb ladders, perform repetitive motions, walk/stand, etc.), has strong communication and customer service skills.

Sunday-Thursday, 8:30pm-6:00am
RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot failures in order to repair and maintain complex production equipment Ensure machinery operates efficiently and effectively to meet productivity requirements Follows all safety policies and procedures Manages all required paperwork and records and prepares documentation (forms, reports, etc.) when needed Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required Performs basic maintenance and upkeep of facilities, grounds, and buildings Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS 12-36
Months of progressive and relevant Maintenance experience Strong mechanical and electrical skills Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with co-workers, vendors, and others Able to work independently on projects and as a member of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Strong problem solving and analytical skills Highly professional and dependable Able to work a flexible schedule, which may include working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Available for emergency on-call Basic computer and internet skills
