Maintenance Mechanic

Job Overview A maintenance mechanic is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of our office buildings and equipment to assure the optimal efficiency, professional appearance, and safety for our employees and customers. Responsibilities Performs general maintenance and repair work, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry, on equipment and the Credit Union's general facilities and properties. Performs other maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, painting, moving, and arranging the training or conference rooms for meetings, assembling furniture, office set-ups, snow removal and maintenance of landscape. Operate Citadel's maintenance vehicles safely and lawfully at all times. Promptly and efficiently respond to work orders. Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision. Operates a motor vehicle to transport equipment and other materials to branch locations and other properties owned by the credit union. Acts as back up for mailroom/supply coordinator as directed. Required to be on call 24x7 for 1 week (Saturday through Friday) per month at least to handle off-hour maintenance calls and emergencies. May be required to deliver or pick up various items at credit union facilities. Must keep work area clean and free of clutter. Will assist department leadership as needed. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements Minimum of 2 years of similar or related experience; 5 years preferred High School Diploma or equivalent. Additional Skills/Notes Basic Microsoft Office Must have good communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of proper and safe handling of common tools.
