This skilled Maintenance Technician position is responsible for the repair, installation and/or removal of production equipment and the maintenance and repair to buildings, grounds and utilities at any of the SFPC work locations.Job Duties:
Performs upkeep tasks and maintenance support to all SFPC facilities over a lengthy time span. Inspects, troubleshoots and repairs facilities systems (ventilation, electrical, plumbing, etc). Diagnoses and repairs hydraulic and mechanical issues. Handles repairs of production equipment. Schedules and performs preventative maintenance on both production and facility equipment and machines. Oversees contractors when professional repairs are necessary. Safely operates a forklift, scissor lift, overhead crane and other manufacturing equipment as needed. Maintains appropriate maintenance repair records and paperwork. Maintains clean work area. Complies with SFPC safety policies and procedures and works in safe and responsible manner. Performs other duties as assigned.Job Skills/Abilities:
The qualified candidate will have: 2+ years of proven maintenance work experience. knowledge and hands-on work experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical repair and maintenance needs. ability to troubleshoot and repair various manufacturing equipment (press brakes, lasers, welders, cranes, fork trucks, etc.). ability to read and understand electrical schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalogs. prior knowledge and work experience with OSHA regulations, commercial electrical codes, equipment hydraulics, and mechanical equipment. ability to push / pull / lift 10-60 pounds of materials. good hand / eye coordination, manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform the job. ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach. ability to be self-motivated (independent). The understanding that the requirements of the job may change at times due to changing priorities of the company.Special Working Conditions:
Attendance at work is an essential job function. Eight (8) -hour shift (some overtime may be required). Work in a safe and responsible manner. Adhere to all applicable electrical code and OSHA regulations.How to apply:
