Job Description
Tapco Companies has an immediate opening for an experienced Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will set up, adjust, and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility for production uptime, quality and safety on equipment. A candidate should have strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge with some basic electrical experience.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
Analyzes electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and operational problems PLC knowledge is a plus but not required. Strong hydraulic and electrical background recommended Must know how to read electrical and hydraulic and pneumatic prints Plan for and take corrective action as needed. Diagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of equipment, performs preventative and corrective maintenance. Recommends or initiates modification or replacement of components which fails to meet acceptable operating standards. Maintain maximum production and quality by making correct adjustments Review production schedule and make equipment changes as needed Troubleshoot and test equipment to check operations Perform scheduled maintenance Make preventative maintenance checks and inspection of assigned equipment Repair and diagnose problems with support equipment such as compressors, cooling towers, and tube mill and cutting related equipment.Maintenance Technician Requirements:
High school diploma or GED 4 years prior Manufacturing Maintenance experience. Familiarity with manufacturing and production environment. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving skills. Extensive experience working with mechanical and power driven systems. Good communication skills and must work well with others. Must be reliable, dependable and be at work on time.
