Job Description

STE Hackney, Inc., is a $145 million manufacturer of specialized aluminum drop-frame truck bodies, trailers, refrigerated truck bodies and trailers and specialty vehicle cabs. Headquartered in Washington NC, the company operates four manufacturing facilities in the continental United States and is owned by Vision Technologies Land Systems, a subsidiary of ST Engineering.

JOB SUMMARY
Perform major installation, repair and maintenance mechanical, refrigeration, electrical, automation systems etc. on all equipment in the facility. Also responsible for facility maintenance as directed by supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Perform major installation, repair and maintenance (mechanical, electrical, automation systems etc.) following verbal and written instructions, reference materials and standard procedures adhering to company, local and state standards. 2. Ensure that all equipment is repaired and maintained to ensure the highest safety standards. 3. Provide general maintenance department assistance. Be a team player. 4. Detect and report faulty operations, materials and working conditions to supervisor. 5. Use safety equipment as instructed. Follow safety regulations and company policies. 6. Maintain work areas, equipment and tools in a clean and orderly condition. Ensure repair areas have been cleaned of all waste and tooling before returning equipment back to the operator. 7. Perform other duties and cross-train as required or assigned. 8. Adhere to the company's health and safety guidelines and policies - inclusive of using all PPE as mandated 9. Utilize and promote 5S tools and practices to sustain a high standard of cleanliness and safety both in the shop and throughout the facility 10. Crosstrain as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must have 3 or more years of experience and the following areas. Requires technical school training and/or comparable experience in specialized field must have Electronics, PLC and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) installation, programing, troubleshooting experience. Also need to have experience working with electrical, mechanical, systems. Must have state electrical license. 2. Must have experience working with software and hardware on the following systems Alan Bradley, Square D, Siemens and GE. 3. Required experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) 4. Must have experience working with and troubleshooting low voltage AC, DC Systems. 24, 120, 208, 277, 480 volt 3-Phase Systems. 5. Ability to identify and order specific parts and/or upgrades for semi/automated and fully automated systems. 6. Experience installing conduit and electrical panels. 7. Requires the ability to operate forklift and material handling equipment. 8. Must be able to read and understand Electronic and Electrical Schematic and drawings. 9. Knowledge of company procedures for storage, handling and shipment of hazardous waste to comply with government regulations. Training will be included upon assignment to such duties. 10. General working knowledge of all aspects of industrial maintenance. Good mechanical and construction aptitude. 11. Employee must be able to work at heights and both indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions. 12. Ability to work as a team with co-workers and management. 13. And complete duties as assigned. 14. Possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record 15. Willingness to work any shift as needed to meet maintenance and project needs 16. Willingness to work mandatory overtime due to inclement weather and clean up 17. Will need to provide own tools • Replacement tools will be provided by company if personal tools are damaged on the job. 18. Knowledge of company procedures for storage, handling and shipment of hazardous waste to comply with government regulations. Training will be included upon assignment to such duties. 19. Basic welding skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Physical fitness to perform all job functions of the designated work area, including any and all maintenance and heavy lifting assignments. This includes standing, small tool use, full arm and leg range of motion, bending, lifting, walking, crouching, talking and hearing. 2. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The company reserves the right to modify or change the job duties at any time.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
