- Part-time Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of our facility.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of building systems and equipment across our locations in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Your expertise will help create a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment that supports our operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone with strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills to make a tangible impact every day. This role is structured as an hourly, flexible position and may operate under a monthly retainer and/or guaranteed minimum hours agreement. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct welding, painting, tiling repairs, and other tasks as needed to maintain facility aesthetics and structural integrity. Use tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults and ensure safety compliance. Operate Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule work orders, document repairs, and track maintenance activities. Assist with projects involving facilities upgrades ensuring adherence to safety standards and project timelines. Collaborate with location leads to provide excellent service by addressing internal maintenance requests promptly and efficiently. Assemble shelving/workstations/furniture Maintain clean and safe work practices while operating in food production environments Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields within manufacturing or industrial environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general building repairs. Electrical experience including working with ohmmeters, and troubleshooting electrical faults safely. Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation purposes. A willingness to learn is appreciated.
