PRIMARY FUNCTION
: Makes periodic inspections of and maintains all equipment associated with supplying safety lighting, plumbing, heating and ventilation, air conditioning, control systems and any other system for which responsible.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Make checks of all mechanical area equipment and log in same. Handle maintenance calls from the main office. Maintain records as required. Combined responsibilities of testing and running of emergency generators along with the electricians Perform other related duties as assigned. Maintain and repair distribution systems involving vacuum, medical air, medical gas systems and air compressors Maintain and repair pneumatic equipment located in engine rooms, such as hot water convertor, thermostats, induction units, sump pumps and all piping pertaining to the function of this equipment Minor electrical work, such as disconnecting leads on motors, resetting breakers, replacing lights and etc. Changing of air filters in all large air handling equipment along with cleaning and painting in mechanical areas.
MINOR PLUMBING REPAIRS
repair of an existing plumbing fixture which includes valves, washers, "O" rings, etc., clearance of stoppages, stoppage of leaks. Condenser cleaning on chillers, and cleaning and maintenance on water towers. Cleaning of air handling unit coils Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the University .
EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
: High School or GED required. Technical School preferred. _________________________________________________________________________
