Take Pride in Your Work What You'll Be Doing Morgan Properties is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician for a 125-unit apartment community (Mt. Penn Manor) in Reading, PA. This role requires a technician who can work independently, stay organized, and respond quickly to maintenance needs. This is a great opportunity for a well-rounded technician with strong fundamentals in plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance, looking to expand skills in boiler/baseboard heating systems. As a Maintenance Technician, you will: Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues including plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general repairs Support maintenance of boiler/baseboard and wall unit heating systems (experience preferred) Complete service requests/work orders accurately and efficiently Perform apartment turns (make-readies) to prepare units for new residents Maintain interior and exterior areas in accordance with company standards and safety requirements Assist with grounds maintenance and seasonal tasks, including snow removal Communicate clearly and professionally with residents and team members regarding repairs and timelines
Compensation & Incentives Base Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour Up to 50%
Rent Discount Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions Morgan Essentials:
$300 quarterly
On-Call Appreciation:
$15/day for holding the on-call phone Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match Generous Paid Time Off, including 10 holidays and sick leave Hours & Schedule Monday -
Friday:
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Rotating on-call schedule (every 3 weeks) required Must be available for after-hours emergency maintenance Snow removal required during winter months Schedule subject to change based on business needs What We'll Expect from You 1+ year of maintenance or service technician experience (apartment maintenance preferred) Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, and general repairs Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle Ability to respond to on-call emergencies within a reasonable distance Basic computer/mobile device skills Experience with boilers, baseboard heating systems, or wall units preferred #AC4474 If you are hired at Morgan Properties, your overall compensation package will also be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
