The Facilities Technician I is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations at the direction of the Facilities Manager. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance issues, as well as coordinating with contractors when necessary. In addition to hands-on repair work, the technician maintains accurate records, follows scheduled maintenance plans, and supports compliance efforts, all while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and attention to detail. Qualifications:
Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent- required Minimum 2 years of experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair
- required Strong knowledge of multiple trades, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, tile, and general repairs, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- required Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary focus and attention to detail.
Additional Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of building maintenance procedures, techniques, and industry best practices. Familiarity with HVAC, machinery, equipment, hand tools, and power tools used in building maintenance and repair. Understanding of occupational hazards, safety precautions, and best practices to ensure a safe work environment. Ability to read, write, and understand instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to read and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions. Demonstrated flexibility in troubleshooting and finding effective solutions. Proven ability to collaborate as a team player and communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings. Strong sense of responsibility, trustworthiness, and ability to maintain confidentiality.Perks & Benefits:
