Job Description

Description Westside Village is looking for an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to help lead our maintenance operations. In this role, you will support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily department operations, supervising technicians, coordinating work orders, and ensuring our community is maintained to the highest standards. A successful candidate keeps the team organized, residents happy, and the property running smoothly. 3-5 years of maintenance experience required, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role. Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians; assist in scheduling and daily work assignments Support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and carpentry repairs Conduct routine property inspections and document findings Coordinate with vendors and contractors for work that exceeds in-house capabilities Implement and oversee preventative maintenance programs Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies Oversee daily grounds maintenance of community interiors, exteriors, and common areas including laundry facilities Remove snow and ice from required areas and apply ice melt when needed Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Respond promptly to service requests with a positive, professional demeanor Be available for after-hours and weekend response to emergency and non-emergency situations Qualified candidates will have; 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience; property management background preferred At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead maintenance role Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and hold a small team accountable Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems Experienced operating equipment including snow blowers, lawn mowers, power tools, and small hand tools Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Strong written and oral communication skills; able to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and management Experience using a digital work order or property management system preferred High school diploma or GED required; trade certification or associate's degree a plus Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted Must own a reliable vehicle Ability to work well independently and with minimal supervision
Pay:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
