Machine Maintenance Technician - CNC Machines

Exact Machine Service, Inc. is seeking a CNC Field Service Technician to provide exceptional service to our customers. The CNC Field Service Technician will have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in trouble shooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulics on machine tools. Must be able to effectively detect and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical components. This position reports directly to the Service Manager. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Traveling to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all machine tool equipment and controls for customer organizations. Traveling may include occasional multiple night overnight stays out of town.
• The CNC technician (computer numerical controls) will utilize machine tool manuals, technical documents, internal and OEM resources to research machine issues
• Ensuring proper documentation is completed and submitted to office and customer in regards to status of machine issues, repairs, and installation
• Promoting and performing preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment and conducting after-sales technical support and training
• Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company
• Able to climb ladders and to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
• Able to safely operate a lift truck and lifting equipment or the rigging of machine tools.

Job Requirements The successful CNC technician candidate will have a minimum of 5 to10 years experience in mechanical/ electrical repair of CNC machine tools; with Haas, Fanuc, Siemens, and Acramatic control repair background a plus. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics are required. Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills are a must. The Field Service Technician must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job. This position requires flexible hours and frequent travel throughout a regional territory. Candidate must maintain an insurable clean driving record and a valid drivers license in the state of your residence.
