Job Title:
Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift) Job Description The Maintenance Technician supports reliable production by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and facility systems in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maximizing equipment uptime, executing preventive maintenance plans, and ensuring all work meets Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) requirements. Up to $36/hr to start 2 weeks PTO day one, 4 weeks year 2 Paid Holidays Competitive benefits plan Excellent working environment Responsibilities Execute preventive maintenance plans on production and facility equipment and document all work accurately and on time. Maintain the mechanical room in a clean, organized, and safe manner to support efficient maintenance operations. Perform basic and advanced troubleshooting on equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Conduct in-process repairs during production and record all repairs and adjustments as required. Review the production schedule daily and plan maintenance activities and equipment changeovers accordingly. Perform equipment changeovers accurately and efficiently to support production demands and minimize downtime. Carry out cleaning and sanitization of equipment and work areas in strict accordance with established SOPs. Record required maintenance, repair, and equipment information in the ERP system with a high level of accuracy. Perform all responsibilities in accordance with facility GMP requirements and maintain compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Report any quality issues to the quality department promptly and communicate any changes in chemicals or products that require updated Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Collaborate with production and quality teams to support smooth line start-ups, changeovers, and continuous improvement efforts. Participate in training and cross-training activities, including initial training on day shift, to ensure consistent knowledge of equipment and processes. Support multiple production lines as needed, adjusting priorities based on orders and operational requirements. Essential Skills 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Diversified experience in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair. Strong mechanical skills, including troubleshooting and repair of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Electrical experience up to 480V, including machine and motor wiring. Ability to understand and work with PLC inputs and outputs for troubleshooting purposes. Demonstrated experience working under GMP and SOP requirements, preferably in food or pharmaceutical environments. Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment. Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial setting. Ability to execute and document preventive maintenance activities accurately. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written SOPs and GMP guidelines. Ability to plan work based on production schedules and adjust to changing priorities. Effective communication skills to coordinate with production and quality teams. Capability to work independently on 3rd shift while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Why Work Here?
