Commercial Door Technician/Installer

Job Summary R&S Erection of Monterey Bay, Inc has been serving Monterey Bay and Santa Cruz counties since 1999. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Door Technician/Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial doors, frames, and related hardware across various construction sites and commercial facilities. Job Description Install and replace commercial doors, frames, hardware, and accessories using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques Conduct heavy lifting of doors, frames, and related materials safely while adhering to safety protocols Apply locksmithing skills to ensure proper sealing, finishing, and security of installations Troubleshoot mechanical issues with door operators or hardware systems; perform repairs as needed Fabricate custom components or modify existing parts to meet project specifications Install fixtures such as locks, handles, hinges, and electronic access controls with precision Provide expert advice and recommendations to customers Deliver professional service and build long-term customer relationships Maintain company truck and inventory Communicate confidently with management, support staff, customers and vendors Qualifications Proven experience in door hanging or related construction work within commercial settings Strong knowledge of mechanical systems involved in door operation and security hardware Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills Basic electrical experience related to automatic door operators or access control systems is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during installations Valid driver's license with 3+ years clean driving record Comfortable using iPhone/ iPad for job data Must pass background check and drug test

Pay:

$26.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
