Job Description
We're currently hiring for a 3-day, 12-hour shift (Friday-Sunday 7a-7p), giving you 4 days off a week while still being paid for 40 hours plus overtime eligible. EHS Technician / Facilities Technician Position Summary The EHS / Facilities Technician supports environmental health & safety programs while maintaining facility systems and equipment. This hybrid role ensures the workplace is safe, compliant, and operational by handling safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day facility maintenance. This position is ideal for someone who can balance hands-on maintenance work with safety compliance and documentation in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) Assist in implementing and maintaining EHS programs and policies Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local/state regulations Conduct safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical inventory Support incident investigations and root cause analysis Track and document: Injuries/illness logs (OSHA 300) Safety training records Coordinate safety training and onboarding support Monitor PPE usage and workplace safety practices Assist with waste management, including hazardous materials disposal Facilities / Maintenance Perform routine maintenance on building systems: HVAC Electrical and lighting Plumbing Compressed air systems Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment issues Coordinate with external vendors for repairs and inspections Support preventative maintenance programs Maintain cleanroom or controlled environment standards (if applicable) Assist with space setup, equipment moves, and facility upgrades Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Typically 2-5+ years in EHS, facilities, or maintenance role Working knowledge of: OSHA regulations Basic facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) Ability to read and follow technical procedures and safety guidelines Strong organizational and documentation skills Basic computer skills (Excel, reporting systems, etc.) Preferred Experience Manufacturing, aerospace, or regulated industry background EHS certifications (OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER, or similar) Experience with: Cleanroom environments Hazardous waste handling Preventative maintenance systems (CMMS) Work Environment Combination of office, manufacturing floor, and facility spaces May require lifting, climbing ladders, or working in tight spaces Exposure to machinery, chemicals, and industrial equipment PPE required depending on task Additional Requirements Must meet
