Garage door tech/installer

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Garage Door Technician/Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of garage doors and related hardware. Your expertise will ensure that each installation is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Duties Install new garage doors, including hanging doors, framing, and securing hardware using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment Perform repairs and maintenance on existing garage doors and openers, ensuring smooth operation and safety compliance Read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installation plans Conduct glass installation for windows or panels as needed during door setups Fabricate custom components or modifications using metalworking techniques such as welding Assist with electrical wiring or mechanical adjustments for automatic door openers when required Lift heavy materials safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites or customer locations Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high-quality standards Experience Proven experience in construction-related fields such as remodeling, carpentry, or handyman work with a focus on door hanging or fixture installation Knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics reading, and fabrication processes specific to garage door systems Hands-on experience with glass installation, welding, electrical wiring, and lock smithing is highly desirable Familiarity with construction site safety practices and heavy lifting procedures Ability to operate power tools effectively including drills, saws, grinders, and other relevant equipment Previous work involving blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, or metal framing will be advantageous Strong mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Join us in delivering top-tier garage door solutions that combine craftsmanship with innovative techniques!
