Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Lonecrest Garage Door Technician and become a vital part of delivering top-quality garage door solutions to our valued customers. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of garage doors and related hardware. Your mechanical aptitude, hands-on skills, and construction experience will drive your success as you troubleshoot issues, fabricate custom components, and ensure each project meets our high standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new installations to remodeling existing systems, all while honing your craft in a fast-paced environment. Duties Install, repair, and maintain various garage door systems, including hardware, tracks, springs, cables, and openers. Perform glass installation and fixture setup to enhance door functionality and aesthetics. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to customize solutions on-site. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute complex installation plans. Conduct metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and cabinetry work as needed for door frames or surrounding structures. Handle heavy lifting safely while installing large doors or components on construction sites or remodeling projects. ; caulking and sealing for weatherproofing purposes. Demonstrate electrical experience for wiring garage door openers or integrating security systems. Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met efficiently. Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used; ensure all safety protocols are followed during every task. Skills . Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately. Skilled in welding, fabrication, carpentry (including trim carpentry and frame carpentry), and electrical wiring. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment used in construction site work. Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for large door installations or repairs. • Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety standards and protocols. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics; adaptable to various project scopes including remodeling or new builds. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to completing projects efficiently.
