The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team: Brief Department Description RTX Raytheon Real Estate Services has an opening for a Facilities Maintenance Technician at the Chesapeake Bay Va site.
What will you do:
The position focus will be to maintain, troubleshoot and repair all infrastructure systems including HVAC, Chilled Water Distribution, pumps, motors, and frontend Building automation controls. In this role you need to perform as a first night shift compressed facilities mechanic supporting plant operations. This role requires the ability to work 12-hour shifts in order to cover the site 24/7 from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm. Provide coverage and support for the facility days/nights/weekends if business, schedule, or emergency situations arise. What type of experience will be gained through this position The hired applicant will learn how to manage facilities operations in a 2 Million square foot manufacturing building. They will gain technical experience working alongside senior mechanics and contractors. They will also learn to troubleshoot large infrastructure equipment and controls.
Qualifications you must have:
This role typically requires an HS Diploma or GED or AA/AS degree (or another 2 year post HS training) and 4 or more years of relevant experience At least 4 years' experience in (three or more) of the following areas: HVAC and Building Automation Controls Maintenance of pumps, motors, valve and actuator operation Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems Refrigeration cycles At least 2 years' experience with and strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and complex schematics as well as knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards for Safe work practice, hazard assessment and mitigation Qualifications We Prefer Computer acumen to include a strong understanding of the function and application of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as well as common office technology including MS office suite of software and other Web based tools. Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 43,400 USD - 82,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
