Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team and take responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of our single family homes in the Columbus, Georgia area. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in general maintenance, be proficient in various trades, and possess the ability to handle routine and emergency maintenance tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities:
General Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance needs. Perform general repairs on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Ensure the overall cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of our properties.
Preventive Maintenance:
Implement a preventive maintenance schedule for equipment and systems. Perform regular checks on building systems to prevent breakdowns.
Repairs and Troubleshooting:
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues. Troubleshoot and repair appliances, fixtures, and equipment.
Documentation:
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inspections. Provide reports on the condition of the building and recommendations for improvements.
Emergency Response:
Be available for on-call emergencies and respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues. Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs when necessary.
Collaboration:
Work closely with property management and other staff to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment. Communicate effectively with residents regarding maintenance schedules and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role. Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques. Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems. Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment effectively. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and interpersonal abilities. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. Reliable personal transportation
