Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Floor Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring all flooring surfaces are spotless, well-maintained, and properly cared for to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all floor surfaces mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to ensure a pristine appearance. Use specialized equipment such as buffing machines and carpet cleaners to maintain different types of flooring. Conduct routine inspections of floors to identify areas needing extra attention or repair. Apply appropriate cleaning agents and solutions in accordance with safety guidelines and environmental standards. Maintain janitorial supplies inventory, restock cleaning materials, and ensure equipment is properly maintained. Follow established safety procedures during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or damage. Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning schedules efficiently and uphold cleanliness standards throughout the facility. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or environmental services within commercial settings. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and carpet cleaning. Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, extractors, and vacuums safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency in cleaning tasks. Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance needs. Knowledge of safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment operation.
